We’d like to thank the coaches, counselors, program directors and entire staff at Forte Strong for creating a program to serve not only our son but also provide terrific support, learning, and resources for us as parents. Our son and we were very fortunate to have found Forte and also blessed to have Taylor Chambers assigned as therapist. The entire team was incredibly dedicated and supportive to our son and us, and preserved some significant challenges we encountered as our son progressed through the program. It was a long journey, and not always a steady climb (there were lots of up and downs) – but Taylor and the team guided our son and coached us in how to be helpful without enabling our son throughout the process. He was extremely insightful and connected with our son and helped him work through many tough challenges. Our son also found the group sessions extremely helpful. My wife and I were both surprised to learn early in the Forte experience that this program was not just for our son, but that it was designed to help us to learn and grow. The teaching that Forte provided us as parents, that allowed us to recognize some behaviors we had developed that were enabling and not truly helpful. We learned to establish and maintain healthy boundaries and realize that we had to focus on our own self-care throughout this process. Forte provided weekly webinars that covered many helpful relationship and parenting topics specifically designed for the needs and challenges for families with young men at Forte. We met with our son’s counselor weekly or biweekly throughout the program. Each webinar offered a teaching portion, often an interactive portion, and always allowed time for questions and discussion at the end. We learned much through this process and it changed our overall outlook on how we parent and how we balance our lives as individuals and a couple with our parenting. We are so thankful for the transformation in our son’s life as he successfully completed the Forte program, transitioned back to our area and now lives his own apartment and is working and living independently. He enjoys his job and we enjoy sharing some time with him weekly. It is such a blessing to see him happy, enjoying his work, and enjoying his independence.

I have had the opportunity to work at several different mental health organizations. This has given me perspective on what works to help individuals and what is less effective. Forte Strong works! It works because the staff care about the students and care about the students success. It works because Forte Strong has a great approach. It is my pleasure to work at Forte Strong. If you or someone you know is struggling with independence I would highly recommend looking into Forte Strong.

Working at Forte Strong over the past five years has changed my and my families lives for the better. I think we are all still growing up in our own way. Working with young men who are engaged in the process helps me to continue on my own path. The power of the message of hope and personal ownership have impacted the lives of many families over the years. One of the sentiments I heard from parents over and over again in my years here is “we feel like we have our son back”. The family as a whole has changed their way of viewing themselves as individuals and how they work together. I am grateful for the chance to continue to be a part of their process.

Our son graduated the program in June. He's very smart, can be very hard working, but struggled in college. Of the 17 traits listed in failure to launch, we thought he had about 15 of them. As a result of the program he has made tremendous progress. I'm so amazed. The support from Forte and the insights and skills taught him through their counselors, coaches, and other staff have been essential. I give Forte my highest ratings and would be happy to talk to anyone with questions. I forgot to mention the program spent a time weekly with the parents and we grew and connected with other parents

Forte Strong is a great company that is striving to make daily life better for many young men. The skills they learn and the council and coaching they receive is unsurpassed. I would highly recommend them.

I have interacted with the men at Forte Strong, on and off, for the past couple of years. From the time they enter the program I have seen tremendous groth in the young men. They leave the program with increased self esteem, self worth, and self confidence. I have interacted with the Coaches and staff and have found them, to whole heartedly, have the students best interest in mind. Forte Strong is an amazing program that truly cares about their patients and their community. Their staff is professional and knowledgeable in the field and ready to make a difference in people's lives. They are an important part of the recovery community and their patients are thriving after graduating the program.

I really enjoyed my time at Forte Strong. The staff were incredibly helpful and caring. The staff there really care about the students and their progress through the program. Forte Strong provides a great opportunity for young men to learn about themselves and learn the skills needed to be independent and solve the problems in their lives. Forte Strong offers a great deal of resources and help for all students who need it and continues to support alumni.

This program is highly effective at getting students to get a job and relatively effective at getting them into the practice of being consistent at showing up to places on time. There are a handful of other skills that they learn here, that I wont list, but there are also some serious issues with the program in my opinion. The main issue is that there are WAY too few coaches for how many students there were, and I felt that all of the students including myself had way too little attention from the coaches because the coaches were given more than they could handle. Way too many students either fly under the radar, are given attention temporarily but not enough to meet their needs, or are simply left to their own devices for the most part because their issues at a certain time are not as pressing as those of other students. I also believe that the management has not been handling this well at all. Assuming that there is no financial reason why we have to keep bringing in more students, it honestly seems egregious to me that we keep taking more students in without increasing the number of staff. And in the case that we are working on staff, but are not certain when we will get more we should post-pone more admissions until then. Instead, the number of students here has been steadily increasing without any meaningful increase in staff. Also when students are admitted here, they are essentially put on a timer because of the week-system where students are discharged after a certain number of good weeks. Many of us also feel as though this program is our last resort to getting better, and not seeing the results that we need here can extremely demoralizing to already depressed people like ourselves. I am very disappointed in this program, relative to what my expectations were (and what I believe most students' expectations were) at the beginning of the program. I will say that I believe this program in its current state can be effective at helping certain types of people, like myself. Students who do not need much attention from coaches or staff whatsoever, other than as a way to bounce off ideas and be held accountable for things can be fairly successful. Also students working on social issues seem to do well at addressing them for the most part. In my experience here, students that are older, also have a slightly more difficult time here. If you are thinking of enrolling here, be sure to ask about the student to coach ratio. In my opinion if there are still more than 5 students to a coach (currently it is close to 6 or 7), I'd say it is likely that new students will experience something close to what I am describing here.

I am a former student at Forte Strong and I can say with confidence that this program changed my life. I would highly recommend this to any young adult who is looking for direction. The program allows for people in similar situations to communicate and grow together while receiveing guidance from the staff. Prior to enrolling in the program I was extremely unmotivated; as a consequence many areas of my life started to suffer. I had just turned 19 and I was a wreck to say the least. Once I arrived in St. George I was hesitant to really open up. I couldn’t imagine spilling my guts to all of these strangers. “No way,” I thought. Well, after a few days the idea of growth was instilled in me. I learned that everyday was an opportunity to gain something from either the staff or other students who had listened to my story. The group setting allowed for feedback from all types of personalities and sociocultural backgrounds. The coaches, therapists and others involved provided me with vital insights to my development in this transitional stage of my life. Once I completed the program I realized my exuberant personality was back along with my confidence. Now I am living independently and as happy as ever thanks to the amazing staff at Forte Strong. You guys are awesome!

I couldn't be more satisfied with the progress I made through this program. The staff and students are friendly, reliable, and always there when you need them. It really sets you up with a chance to make real changes in yourself and move forward in the way that you need.

This organization provides such an important service to young men who are struggling to find their way/place in the world. My son has grown so much since his arrival at Forte Strong! He is moving through the program’s stages with the support of his coach, therapist and peers. As a result, his confidence is soaring and he is bonding with his new tribe. I feel like the man he was meant to be is finally stepping out from behind the curtain! I am so proud and so grateful!

As a former student being at Forte Strong was a life-changing and unforgettable experience for me. They care about you and your personal growth as a person and will help you succeed in that. The community of coaches, therapists, and other students in Forte Strong is very welcoming and inclusive. I would 100% recommend this program.

Fortestrong has helped me in many ways but above all else it helped me understand myself and how to handle the difficulties i had faced in life and the decisions that come with them. between the counseling in the program and the structure that is provided i would recommend any young adult struggling to attend this program. I think that anyone who attends this program will come out better for having been there.

When I came too Forte strong I was very lazy and unmotivated. I would play video games all day and would tell my parents that I was going too work when I was really with my friends messing around. I had no direction for my future and an unwillingness too listen too my family about how my choices are hurting me. The coaches at forte are so helpful and are completely willing too be there for you when you are struggling as long as you try your hardest. They have such a strong system for targeting your weaknesses and turning them into strengths. They have a lot of activities too help better yourself wether it would be with anger issues or having a hard time being social. While I was in the program I went through some really hard times and I wanted too just quit and leave because I thought it was a joke and they were only trying too help me because of money. There were times when I thought there was nobody too turn too and how I felt completely alone. The big things that helped me overcome such difficult obstacles where my coaches and the other students. Everybody in the program were there for the same reasons I was and it made it easy for me too talk too them about my struggles. The other students made it a judgement free environment so that we could talk about our addictions and struggles. The coaches would make appointments with me and we would brainstorm ideas and come up with systems for how I could overcome my fears and issues. By the end of my journey through the program I was a completely change person. I no longer lie about what I am doing, I am not lazy and understand that I need too work hard and earn everything that I want, and my addiction is much much less than it was. The coaches and students in Forte Strong are a really strong team and have a good relationship with one another and creates an amazing environment for you too find your true potential. If you are having any kind of life issues and feel like your alone you are not. Reach out too Forte like I did and you will see so much change and potential in your life. Thank you Forte.

Having been an employee of Forte Strong for several years, and having also spent a number of years working in a variety of wonderful programs, I have found the culture of a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence extraordinarily high at Forte Strong. My life before I came to Forte Strong was very small. I wasn't doing much more other than halfheartedly going to school, barely working a part time job and locking myself away in my room on my computer. I was 25 years old, still living at my parents house and I wasn't moving forward with my life in any respect. Forte Strong helped me gain confidence, direction and discipline while practicing the life skills I felt I was lacking. In my eyes, the heart and soul of Forte Strong is the staff. Without their encouragement, guidance and support I would not have been able to make the drastic changes to my life that I did. Through the ups and downs of being in such an intensive program I always felt like I was supported and very genuinely cared about. The most valuable lesson I learned from Forte Strong was to take ownership of my life and Forte Strong truly allows students to find their own path to that lesson. I am very grateful to Forte for all they have done for me and helped me with. I wish everyone of them nothing but the best. They have helped me become a better man and a better person.

Having gone to forte strong when I really had no ambition or direction in life this program really has had a massive impact on turning my life around. A combination of being out of your comfort zone and a mix of truly incredible and understanding staff really makes this place unique to anything I've seen online or heard about anywhere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I spoke too. All the staff are incredibly well trained and caring towards everyone there. To sum it up I would absolutely say this program has changed my life massively, having joined the program unemployed and lacking ambition I am now in a forgein country waiting to start university on my own. Forte strong truly is a one in a million program.

Forte Strong guides young men on their journey to self worth. A diagnosis of adult ADHD at 21 sent our son spiraling into depression and truly had him defeated and lying in a mire of dark, sleepless days and nights where video games was his only salvation. Doctors had no solutions except meds and treatment centers we didn't feel were appropriate for his situation. When we found Forte Strong: we found HOPE. This organization didn't miraculously save the day; however, through their guidance they gave our son hope and understanding that his actions and his inner strength could shine and make a difference in his environment, and ultimately his life journey. They also guided his father and I, step by step to allow our son to walk alone. He has now graduated from the program and found a job he really loves. We know each day will offer challenges, yet we also know... that he is Forte Strong.

Forte Strong is a tremendous organization that is extremely effective in building strong and healthy young men. This is our generation, so why not take care of them? Forte has really changed me and my family's life for the better. Everyone on staff here has a caring attitude that goes a long way. For young men who have a desire to be the best they can be, the world can seem so barren. Forte helps them see it within themselves and closes the gap perfectly. You are exposed to life here in a way that feels natural. The program here is as real as they get out there. I can tell you that. There is no enabling and bad habits are scratched just like that. You are faced with difficult tasks that test your emotions and your abilities. What is the next challenge? Holding down a job and developing a consistent routine are just a fraction of the program. There is so much out there for you here. You can decide to change yourself. That's what makes it so great and effective. As you will learn, everything is done for a reason here. What's awesome too is that you have a clear opportunity to develop relationships with peers and coaches that can last a lifetime. I'll never forget my time as a student here. The experience I had here has changed my family's life for the better forever. Forte Strong is a special place full of awesome people. It will continue to see growth. These young men deserve the best!

Forte Strong has helped my son prepare for the transition to the real world. My wife and I had attempted so many times to guide him and explain what can happen if he did not have the motivation to set goals and follow a path. He was very reluctant and had no motivation except to play video games and manipulate his family and friends to believe he was working when he was not accomplishing anything. We found Forte Strong through the web and after a few weeks flew out with our son to start the program. It has been several months and very emotional and trying at times but this program has had a dramatic effect on our son. The coaches have made such an impact on him that he has now changed his complete outlook on who he is and where he wants to go in life. They have showed him how to not make quick decisions control anger and manage time to have life long benefits. Setting short term and long term goals is now a priority in his life. I can't thank Forte Strong enough for their dedication and exceptional process that has not only helped my son be a better person but us as a better family. Todd

“Strive to be the best version of you.” These are the words that I live by and Forte Strong has helped guide and support me to live by these words. But most importantly, they were a huge part of kick starting my life. Before I came to Forte Strong, I was an extremely unhappy, disappointed, and unmotivated 22 year old guy. I was living at home, completely dependent on my parents. Living at home as a 22 year old and going nowhere in life really doesn’t feel good! I was comfortable though. Who wouldn’t be? Forte Strong was a life changing program for me because they focused on my strengths and encouraged me to utilize them in every aspect of my life. The coaches are fantastic and really care about what they do. I absolutely recommend any young man, ages 18-26, to attend Forte Strong if they need/want to better themselves in a similar way. I must emphasize that you have to be WILLING to change. One of the rules here at Forte Strong is “transparency,” and it is definitely key to unlocking the best version of you. I’m going to be graduating at the beginning of February. And the really neat thing is that the end of Forte Strong is in fact the beginning of my life as a man who can take care of himself, is confident, and ready for anything that crosses his path.

When I came to Forte Strong I was a procrastinator, a manipulator, and unable to motivate myself without some sort of external threat or incentive. I can adapt quickly and so I would easily find myself comfortably coasting through life in whatever situation I happened to be in. At Forte that comfort was disrupted constantly, forcing me into situations where my only way to succeed was to grow up and start taking responsibility. I definitely had some rough times at Forte, but every challenge I faced resulted in a better man coming out the other side of that struggle. In hindsight I see that I would've ended up in a lot of these tough scenarios no matter what with how my life was going and I am thankful that Forte's staff and my peers were there to give me support and guidance to help me dig myself out of the holes I put myself in. There were many obstacles I faced over the last 11 months here in Forte Strong and I am proud to be able to look back at my path for what has been almost a year of my life and see that I have been able to change myself for the better. Now I'm looking forward to plan for the next steps in my life and while I know there will certainly be bumps on this path as well, I now have the ability to overcome whatever difficulties I might face. My only piece of advice for anyone considering Forte is this: Like any program it has rules, boundaries you need to stay within if you want to continue progressing, but that is not the purpose of the program. The point of this program is to give you the environment you need to change what it is about you that is preventing you from succeeding in your life whether that be lack of independence, a struggle with dependence, laziness, procrastination, etc...; however, just following the rules and meeting the program requirements aren't going to make those changes for you. You have to make the program work for you, not the other way around. Find what it is you think you need and seek out advice accordingly. You have to want to be at Forte and you have to want the change for yourself otherwise you are just wasting your time.
