Ashcreek Ranch Academy not only helped our son, it helped our entire family. The counselors and staff are outstanding. If you have reached the realization that your son needs the support of a therapeutic environment, I highly recommend Ashcreek.

thankful for these opportunities. My past experience in treatment programs was very bad. I've been here for two months and done at least one activity a week. My past place we were locked inside all day. This is the place if you want your kids to have FUN and get help.

This was my 7th program I have been to, and it definitely is my last. I got into drugs and violence as early as 6 years old, and continued using for 11 years. I was always told by teachers, peers, and therapists that it's impossible for me to not kill myself by the time I was 14, and it took a long time to get over that. Ashcreek is the only program I have been to that didn't starve, beat, neglect, and deprive us of water and sleep. It is also the first place I've heard of that is ran by very religious people, but they were all very understanding that we all come from different backgrounds. In most specs, this place deserves 5/5 stars, except in therapy. I started there with a therapist, Scott, that would blame every problem I had on me, regardless of what the problem was. He was also HIGHLY manipulative and misleading towards me and my parents. I eventually had to get a second therapist, who was a little better. The main issue I had with my new therapist is that he lied to me every day for a month every time I asked if my girlfriend had broken up with me via my parents. Finally, after a month of that, he finally told me in a very good setting, which I did appreciate, and let me take the day off from school and work to calm down. The main problem with that example is that no one told me when they found out. 5 months after they told me, I was using my moms phone and found out that my girl friend broke up with me 2 months prior to telling me the news. After that, I had a hard time trusting any therapists or my parents. I have been all around the country for rehab since I was 13, and I'll tell you from experience, they're are no perfect rehabs. They're are just ones better than the others, and Ashcreek is definitely better than any place I have heard of. My advice, only send your kids here IF NEEDED. My parents wanted to send me away fourth the 4th time for a while, but the last straw is when I OD'd and was legally dead for a few minutes, for the 3rd time. Unless it's a life or death situation, look into alternative treatments (short term treatment centers, intensive out patient, normal therapy, etc.) also, if your son has troubles with addiction, try to understand and accept that he will most likely relapse at least a few times after coming home. It's very normal, and can actually be looked at as a lesson instead of just a f**k up.

My son has been in treatment for 5 months and Ash creek has been a great experience for the family and my son. He has made some great improvements. The staff is very caring and honest.

Our son was at Ashcreek Ranch Academy for almost 12 months and the change and growth he achieved while there was remarkable. We were fortunate that the staff there was very caring, consistent and professional. In addition to the excellent therapeutic support he received, he and the other young men had the opportunity to experience parts of the western US taking part in cattle drives as well as white water rafting, hiking and mountain biking in nearby Zion National Park. The decision to place a young man in a therapeutic boarding program is difficult. However if that course is what is needed for your child, Ashcreek Ranch Academy is an extremely safe, caring and nurturing environment for a young man to grow, mature and address their issues.

Ashcreek has given our son his life back. These people are all dedicated to helping your child get back on track with reality, clean living, education, equine therapy, sports, self-discipline, self-management, self-motivation, maturity... and they do it with LOVE. Their therapists are top notch. The owner is a mother and is always a phone call or a text away. Her brother is a father, and is so caring and kind. The entire staff is like a family, and will help your child reach his goals. I am not sure I could have done a better job myself. They have so much to offer (amazing weekend getaways, hiking, tubing, kayaking, white river rafting, community service, parent workshops, etc). My son even became scuba diving certified! WOW! So impressed with this program. Thank you ARA for EVERYTHING you are doing!!! AMEN! Wish I could give 10 stars!

ARA was a truly wonderful experience for my son and our family. My son was there almost a year. He was committed to the program, and received all that he needed and more to complete the program and therapy. I feel blessed to have such wonderful people in my son's life. That year was so healing for the whole family. The boys were always doing something cool on their free time. I visited about every 6 weeks, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. My son loved working with the horses as well. He was always proud to show me his achievements both educational and therapeutic. I have nothing negative to say about our experience with ARA! Truly a blessing.

I was privileged to be able to work at Ashcreek for several years before moving back east to complete a doctorate in psychology. Ashcreek was a wonderful employer and I was impressed by the program they put together to reach boys through experiential therapy vs. only traditional talk therapy in an office setting. I loved working with the boys who were each on different paths in the recovery process. I learned so much from my colleagues and from so many of the boys themselves. My profession prevents me from keeping in touch with previous clients, but I do receive updates from the staff at Ashcreek of their life achievements, college graduations, marriages, and such which is always a treasure. Much thanks to these people for the work they do for boys who need the kind of love, patience, and understanding they give.

Our son has been home from Ashcreek Ranch Academy for about a month and a half. He was there for about nine months. We are so happy that he was able to go there. He learned so much and so did we. From our first conversations on the phone with the owners we felt good about Ashcreek. They were patient and kind. Being away from home is going to be hard on any kid but our son was grateful for the experience. While he was there he said to me, "I want to be home more than anything but I'm grateful to be here and know that I need to be here". For the most part the house staff was great. There are people there that truly care about these boys. The ranch staff is phenomenal. The school is really great too. My son was able to stay physically active with morning work outs, mountain biking, hikes in Zion National Park, zip lining, movies, swimming, NA meetings etc... there was always something to do and when my son graduated he said he was actually going to miss it there. Getting 25 boys to get along can't always be easy but my son found some lifelong friends there. He had a great therapist who made him feel cared about and who helped him through his challenges. I like that my son was able to have as much freedom as he deserved there. The backyard with the skate ramp, basketball court and pond was a nice place for the boys to hang out too. My son is doing great! In large part to his Wilderness experience (WinGate Wilderness - can't say enough good about this place) and Ashcreek Ranch. Thank you!!

Well for starters its a great place I had no problems send your kids here because it changed my life for the better P.S. Wilson Grafstorm did NOT have anything done to him he just hated the place and wants AshCreek to burn he is just an angry child...

We had a successful tour of the home and the ranch and then visited Zion national park which we recommend if you make a visit. The home is somewhere I would live myself if I had the chance - just beautiful. It was clean and homey, and we had lunch with the boys before they left for an activity. It was the closeness of the boys that I think made the biggest impression. Nobody was left out and they seemed like long time friends.

We currently have our son in the program and we've been happy to see him come out of his shell and begin to interact with the other boys and staff. He now loves to work hard with horses and is so much more confident. Our public school at home it harsh and bullying was intense for so many kids. At Ashcreek he feels safe and his mentors are such good role models, he has the space to learn about himself and grow. We are so proud of him and we're grateful that such a program exists for our son.
